In the context of receiving fear and shaming from people who are like you and the pain of having to being told that these people are supposed to be your support: often times it is those who are in most need that will shame or say things (i.e. if only you hadnt done this and done that) ... Often times people have learned these things from experience, but shaming is a mechanism that prevents us from organizing and taking collective action.... It is an excuse to stick to the safe decision.
