In the exposition the companion swans have danced to the sound of the beautiful harp. At the start of this video Siegfried enters and finds the swans. There is a transition to unison brass and woodwinds along with harp very con misterio, with a air of mystery. When Odette greets the Prince she descends to the ground, a terre, and she rises with him in a series of pirouettes. There is a pas de deux to viola and harp. There follows a thematic transition where the woodwinds enter and the companion swans begin to dance along with Siegfried and Odette. Siegfried lifts Odette in a series of playful enlevements. There are frequent examples of Tchaikovskys use of repetition in Russian composition style. Then in re-transition the cello begins to play, and it has become obvious that The Swan Queen and the Prince have now completely fallen in love. At coda flutes play a dramatic and moving and ascending contrast to the trilling viola. Finally the music resolves to tonic while Odette pirouettes. The final position is Siegfried supporting Odette en arabesque etiree. Odette then leaves the stage and returns while the audience applauds.
