In the final days of His life, the great acharya Adi Shankara - TopicsExpress

In the final days of His life, the great acharya Adi Shankara enjoined Bhakti Margam to the same goal in Jnana Margam to attain liberation from the cycle of birth and death. Jnanam which is mature is referred as bhakti. Kshetra Purana of Kollur, where Mother Mookambika Devi presides, is one which Adi Shankara prays to Mata Saraswathi to bring Her to Kerala. “Don’t turn back” says Mata but the acharya does when He did not hear Her anklets. He was excused after His pleas, with Mata residing both in Chottanikkara and Mookambika. Another version says the establishment by Parashurama for Mata Parvathi. There is a Shankara Simhasanam in the Temple, regarded to be the very place Shankaracharya meditated on the vision of Mata. Either way, in Tamil we say, Thai Mookambikai, the loving Mother Mookambika, One manifestation of Matas, Saraswathi, Lakshmi and Parvathi. Jai Mata. Jnani Jnani Jagam Nee, Aham Nee.....lovely rendition of the Acharya and Mata. youtu.be/paDaVyXYxm0
