In the initiatic experience there is this sense of how the words used to express the process are somewhat different than how one might imagine what the words mean. The question of how this road of unfolding the worlds within us can sometimes be considered as is said about Mother Mary: her heart was pierced through. We hear the same of Saint Teresa of Avila where she experienced a ‘piercing of her heart’ which then allowed the pictures to be perceived out of her long and committed devotion to coming to understand the Christ. If we take the picture of Ita Wegman and how it came to be that suddenly after almost 21 years walking beside Rudolf Steiner, her soul mate, without knowing of their full connection, she ‘awoke’ to it during the time of the destruction by fire of the First Goetheanum. Not only could it be said there her own heart was pierced through like everybody else but also that the pain of Rudolf Steiner pierced through to her own being as his soul mate. And from there pictures would arise in her imagination that spoke to a connection which is something he shared with her when they first met. She did not understand then and it took almost 21 years for an event to take place that would pierce through and out of her devotion to the work on this path and devotion to getting it to trying with all her heart, the impressions broke through and the confidence and impressions broke through to her inner understanding. So too it is can it be with all of us as we strive on this path towards our awakening. What happens during the process, this ongoing process of initiation, is that as we develop our thinking, our feelings, and our everyday actions, truly we begin to hear and see things in a new way, an orderly way. We become aware that suddenly it is as if as we were watching someone or passing a person by that something ‘presses’ through in our thinking that almost can be said to be a ‘picture’. If we consider what is meant by ‘imagination’ we can realize that sometimes we may during our sleep or during our meditations, a physical impression comes through out of the questions or particular pondering we are considering, so to as we walk in our day we experience an ‘impression in our thinking out of our question’ of what we are seeing. A thought arises. And in this moment something that can be only expressed as a ‘picture’ yet an invisible picture that has no outer pictorial quality but an inner quality of understanding. If one is sincere in their selves that truly they are wishing to walk this initiation path, to come to experience this unfolding of the spiritual world within us, then we must develop the qualities of the ‘new man’ just as it is said by Saint Paul ‘an old Adam and now a new Adam’. We cannot enter into the deeper stratum of our being without transforming how we are with others which means an utter transformation of the way we look at what has been said and what has been done and our reaction to it, whether in our thinking or in our feeling. My experience is that a new time is upon us individually and as a Movement/Society. The world needs those who are truly seeking to or consider themselves as on this initiatic path to allow Anthroposophia to enter in and show you up until now what you have made of yourself so that you can have an imagination and a practice of what more is now needed from your person as to your own inside out transformation to become a conscious co worker with Michael and with Christ. For those that are already entering into spiritual worlds I say truly the Time is at Hand. We must lean into our capacities and we must begin to be bolder as to how we meet the world and its needs. Rudolf Steiner shared that something changed at the Christmas Foundation Meeting and it is intimately connected to Anthroposophia and Rudolf Steiner with the Intelligence of Michael coming into form properly in this world. It is miraculous what was accomplished and it is the picture of what we ourselves must strive to accomplish with the etheric body coming into form with the astral body and the Ego. It is possible in today’s time for those that strive to transform how they are in the world and in relations to the other. It is through this Manichean path that initiation can take place in our times: through suffering and taking on the suffering of others, caring as much of others as you do yourself. This year Dennis Klocek is speaking at the AGM in Fair Oaks Sacramento. And he is speaking directly on what is to be developed within in order to truly allow the inner world, the inner man, to awaken within one. I am so hopeful that many friends will recognize the importance of this time and its possibilities as to what can be accomplished above and also below by considering a deeper commitment to the work. To Pasadena I go….
