In the last few hours i checked the septa train schedule(app), puchased an amtrak ticket(app), purchased a last minute hotel room (hotel tonight app), checked the nyc subway schedules (app), looked at reviews for scotch bars (yelp app), and will most likely order a car (uber app) later rather than hail a cab. All done from my phone. (Including this facebook post) 5 years ago I would have done everything from a home computer and printed reservations. 10 years ago i would have been calling on my non-smart phone and standing at will call. 20 years ago i...ok. i dont really remember what i would have done. Phone book? Call someone on a landline and ask them what to do? Technology is awesome.
