In the last several decades Armenian, Assyrian and Greek organizations, mainly those operating in the diaspora have brought to the forefront of world opinion the case for the Genocide, Ottoman Turkey committed against its ethnic Christian population. While these organizations place the blame for the heinous acts of mass murder, rape, forced deportations and ethnic destruction mainly on Ottoman Turks and their government, the active role Kurdish tribes played as willing participants is rarely mentioned. We, at the American Mesopotamian Organization, want to inform the world that Kurds, who were allied with Turks, during the Seyfo massacres of WW1, were also allied with the Iraqi military in committing the Simele massacre of 1933 as well as during Saddam’s Al-Anfal military campaign, now being referred to as “Kurdish Genocide” by the Kurdish Regional Government (KRG). The KRG never mentions the fact that Several Kurdish tribes were on the side of the regime, killing fellow Kurds and Assyrians as well as looting their villages. These are historical truths that have to be made known to the world. Our point is that Kurds, who constantly claim to be the oppressed by others, such as Arabs, Turks and Iranians, have never missed a chance to oppress Assyrians, hence the Hypocrisy of the Kurdish Regional Government.
