In the last week, I have seen many agencies and individuals partnering up in so many different ways to assist those still dealing with damages and losses from the storm. It was great to see how various communities are strengthening their own networks to support each other. The contributions of energy, coordination, and material goods continues to show that the aloha spirit is alive and well. Mahalo to all of the individuals and organizations out there giving in whatever way possible. Things are starting to look brighter (no pun intended) as HELCO crews still put in massive hours to bring power back up for as many people as possible each day. Areas with downed power lines and trees are quickly being cleared, improving access to and from homes, enabling many to be able to access goods and services again. Lucky live Hawai‘i (Island)!
