In the last year Ive seen my absolute worst fears about The Replacements gaining any swing of modern popularity come to fruition. No, its not the whole BS sellout thing I see so many people complain about. Its the absolutely obnoxious rock-snob, we know better than anybody poses (and yes, that word is selected and used on purpose) constantly being forwarded by a suddenly galvanized fan base that had - until the last couple years at the most - remained largely invisible on social media. Congratulations, youre ruining it. Id much rather go back to listening to my Mats/Westerberg/Stinson stuff without other fans telling me what sucks and what is awesome about it and other bands and even music written by your proclaimed, heroes. See ya.
