In the late 1940s My father, Ormond C. Corry was partners in an iron foundry - Harrison-Corry Company. It was located at the intersection of Middlebrook Pike and Proctor Street an went bankrupt in the little recession of 1949. They made cast iron lawnmower wheels among other things. One of the novelties they made were cast iron bookends. We had a couple that were lost when we had a house fire and in moves. I have no idea if any of them still exist but I thought this page might be worth trying. I recall one was a sailing ship and some horses. They were about 8-10 inches tall. My memory of them is fuzzy since I was about 10-12 years old. I always keep an eye out when I go to thrift stores or flea markets but I have never seen any thing like them.
