In the lead up to the Queensland election, Chronic Pain Australia - TopicsExpress

In the lead up to the Queensland election, Chronic Pain Australia has contacted all Queensland Members of Parliament, asking their response to the following questions: 1. Maintaining and improving state-wide pain management: What is your party’s plan to ensure Queenslanders have timely and equitable access to appropriate pain management? 2. Improving community understanding of pain: What action will you put in place to educate the community about chronic pain, in order to improve community understanding and decrease the stigma currently experienced by Queenslanders with chronic pain? 3. Improving community-based support and education: What are your plans for enabling Queenslanders with pain to have access to support and information within their own community? 4. Provision of paediatric pain services: What is your party’s commitment to provide dedicated paediatric pain services? At present there are no public paediatric pain services in Queensland and only one paediatric pain specialist. Well keep you updated on any responses we get. In the meantime, if you would like to make your pain visible in this election, we encourage you to write to your local member.
