In the lesson before, we had a letter from Mr.Nguyen. He said about VietNam’s tradition of arranged marriage. Someone agree with him, someone didn’t. In my opinions, I disagree with him. When you live with someone, you need to love him (or her). You can’t love someone, whom you haven’t met before. I know, your parents want everything best for you, but they can’t love for you! This is your marriage, not their. I know to have a happy marriage, you need more than only love like Mr.Nguyen said: deep friendship, love, and trust. I think, we need similarities in mind, sacrifice to each other, to our family! And I think I can’t do it with stranger. Mr. Nguyen’s parents have been married for 35 years, it’s a long time! But I think they don’t have a true love. Maybe, when they live with each other, they help spouse in their life, protect their family together. It’s only responsibility for family. They must do it because he is a father, a husband; she is a mother, a wife. Mr. Nguyen didn’t show us their love! He only show us how they take care their family. I’ll find a good wife, whom I love. And she can take care of our children, our family.
