In the meanwhile we of course had some new entries! Here are some Dutch heroes: Martin Luitwieler: When starting with SUP at Curacao in 2011 I got stoked. It still is the perfect alternative for windsurfing in case there is no wind. At that moment I decided to do a huge race at a certain moment. 2014 is the year of my 50th anniversary so this is te year to do it. Thx to supcuracao. Ruurd van Wieren: The challenge to do a endurance work out through a beautifull part of the Netherlands. Dionne Dijkman: I have t been Sup’ping for some time, having the messy bits of live bugging me here and there. But with postive loving vibes around me I am ready for some serious action again. This solo tour will prove I’m still brave and strong like a lioness. I look forward on dealing with he Dutch wheater elements ( NOT ) but mostly I look forward to be part of something bigger than myself. The SUP11 city tour means sharing peace, companionship and solidarity with other athletes while having the same goal; to finish this challenging tour on our Stand Up Paddle board. I wish you all good luck and strong muscles. C-ya in Friesland. Love, Dionne Arend Venema: I participated last year. And the atmosphere was great and the organisation was excellent. This year i would like to try to enjoy the beautiful environment as well next to the racing. I have lived from 1972 to 1999 in Friesland. Dirk-Jan Coljee: I participated last year for the first time, during the 80´s I participated the 11 City tour 5 times on a windsurf board during the February months what was a heavy experience. So years later it was great to do this again but on a SUP- board. It was a fantastic experience, very well organized and really nice to meet a lot of friendly people who are organizing and participating the event. This year I hope to enjoy it even more and like to improve myself in the ranking.
