In the mid 1980s David Coverdale sacked his Anglocentric backing band and transformed Whitesnake from a confusing funky blues rock act into an uncommonly pedigreed hard rocking pop Metal band. Still Of The Night would mark the apex of this incarnations achievement, as ex Thin Lizzy guitarist John Sykes constructed one of the serpentine monster riffs of the 1980s decade while David Coverdale vamped Led Zeppelin like through a turbulent, rhythm mad rocker fraught with pregnant pauses and massive Metal movement. youtube/watch?v=a_tfq0qTDDE&feature=share
