In the middle of the madness and frustration such pictures make me so happy and excited and give me hope. Fully covered Niqabi sisters making a point in a protest without having to lose their modesty or appeal to anybodys standards, neither the un-Islamic society nor the non-Muslim western secular society. In the last few weeks young Egyptian revolutionaries who identify as religious revolutionaries or Revolutionary Islamists were having heated conversations about the new trends of protesting among the sisters who come from the same camp. And whether this is a good or a bad sign. We are agreeing and disagreeing but Im so happy the conversation is taking place. God bless you all. Something very evolutionary and revolutionary is taking place among the youth I identify with in Egypt. Something you all are missing while youre looking for the stereotypical western looking revolutionary female or engaging in ridiculous liberal orientalist conversations about Muslim women and women in the Muslim world. #Egypt
