In the middle of trying to figure out some places to visit this week. Think im going to hit up Skyline Drive this week, never been. Want to see some great views, wildlife and a nice scenic road. A little bit of hiking. It sounds like the spot! I also want to get some photos and maby video of a black bear. I might sound crazy but I always wanted to see one in person. Also thinking about visiting Centralia in PA. Centralia was a small coal mining town of a few thousand people. A underground coal fire started in 1962 and is still burning beneath the town to this day. The worlds largest supply of Anthracite coal sits below the town. At its peak the town had seven churches, five hotels, twenty-seven saloons, two theaters, a bank, a post office, and 14 general and grocery stores. The town is mostly a ghost town now with under 10 residents. Most everyone has been relocated do to the fire, theirs a few things left there I want to check out. There is a old portion of the highway that has been closed off due to the pavement cracking and opening up, you can see smoke coming from the cracks sometimes. Centralia some call Hell On Earth and Silent Hill is def a neat bizarre place to take a day to check out, but you wouldnt want to live there.
