In the midst of all of this excitement about Chadwick Boseman being added to the bill for Gods of Egypt (Thanks to the petition by Thorne Studios), I have my own news to share. A while ago I made a post detailing my own attempt to enter the film industry. That was last year. I am happy to say that a few months ago, I made my first short film (I am a Screenwriter). And in the next 1-3 months, I will be creating another that will serve to market a full length film that I am still writing. I want to be a part of a new wave of filmmakers of African descent who can thrive in the film industry in genres such as Horror and Sci Fi. There have always been a wealth of people in Comedy and other traditionally Black genres. Not to knock those genres but...The fact is that I want to showcase the entire spectrum of creative potential in a way that has never been done before. By the way, I funded my own project as I plan to with my next short film as well. On the set of my film, this actress is the lovely Lydia Darly, a woman born and raised in Paris (France) but originally from Guadeloupe. She has a gorgeous Caribbean accent, by the way.
