In the news lately, there has been numerous reports about the wealth gap between the rich and the poor. Most of the worlds wealth can be found with a few hundred people. Does this sound right? Does it sound unfair? First, do a study of history and you will find that the rich have always had most of the money. No matter what type of economic system you have, tyrant, communist, democracy, capitalist, etc, this has always been the case. If you were to take all of the money in the world and evenly divide it with every person on the planet, within a decade, we would be where we are today. Some people are bound to be poor for various reasons. Some of them include sheer laziness, bad decisions, having an entitlement attitude, and sometimes just plain rotten luck. Some people are bound to be rich because of their strong work ethic, being born into it, a high degree of intelligence and or wisdom, and sometime just luck. Remember, some of the richest people in the world were servants of God including David and Solomon and Joseph. I personally believe there is a conspiracy in the media to make our country more socialist, even economically communist and this is why you are hearing these stats. I also believe God wants us to spend less time thinking about what others have and more time counting our blessings for what He has given us. Just saying...
