In the paper today, some company named Weichai received millions of dollars in tax incentives from both the state of Illinois (Madigan, Quinn) and Cook County to stay in Rolling Meadows. This came after they threatened to move to Canada, who has much lower corporate taxes. Gee I wonder whos going to shoulder the burden of all the lost revenue for this deal? Could it be all the small businesses who employ 50 percent of the people? Could it be the people themselves? Please vote for candidates who say we need to reform the tax code because if theyre ignoring the issue, theyre for the Status Quo which means BEND OVER BABY!! Gee I wonder who Weichais executives are going to throw their campaign dollars behind...
