In the past, I was never one to really read labels or question - TopicsExpress

In the past, I was never one to really read labels or question large, reputable companies on what they put into the soaps I use to wash my babies or lotions I use to protect their skin. After reading an article about the potential toxins found in baby care products I grabbed their Johnson and Johnsons before bath time and turned the bottle around. Im not sure why Im so mortified or horrified to find this to actually be true! Yup. Black and white (or purple) chemical compounds whose byproducts produce little things like formaldehyde. Hubs promptly came upstairs with a trash can and bottles and bottles of shampoo/body wash and various products will be picked up with next weeks garbage. I cant even (in good conscience) give it away. I realize some people think making their food myself from organic fruits and vegetables is silly, and asking what pesticides are used at local farms is overkill, or making my own teething biscuits because I want to know whats in them is crazy after a day of work but I dont care. Maybe theyll have a slightly less chance of getting cancer by the time theyre 29....for that chance, Ill do anything. My babies look to me for protection. I feel like I let them down
