In the past (and even now), I do not like using the word Zionism - TopicsExpress

In the past (and even now), I do not like using the word Zionism because I associated it with anti-Semitism. Even now I have to watch and be on high alert to ensure when that word comes up, it is not being used for anti-Semitic purposes. I have had prominent and close Jewish friends throughout the course of life so I al not interested in offending the Faith in any way. Another reason why I would feel weary of the term is because it might indicate that I am against somehow against a state that is predominantly Jewish and I am okay with a state being predominantly Muslim so this would be inherently racist. No, I am not at all against a state that is Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Zen, Martian or anything else. The word Zionism for me has been so loaded, I just want to make sure it is never with offensive connotations. Now having said that, this is our old friend Mehdi Hassan again, taking on the topic that if it can do *anything*, it can at least foster thought and discussion. :-) I hope the time will be taken to watch. https://m.youtube/watch?feature=share&v=tdAeFcytcZ8
