In the past we may have valued people for the enjoyment and excitement we experienced while we were with them. We lived for the pleasure and fun of the present moment. With time, however, it became clear that such a lifestyle always led to painful consequences. God is able and willing to snatch us out of the dangerous situations we may have gotten ourselves into.
