In the past, when Ive posted certain things the response from some quarters has been somewhat defensive, and for no reason that I can see except that the human mind filters things (words, thoughts) in personal ways that sometimes have no true relation to the intent of the writer. Thats a problem inherent in the use of words. We all often perceive meanings through the human minds filter. When I have posted messages on the subject of whether or not Truth can be bought in a book or can be found in words and thoughts (it CANT), then that was often taken as a condemnation of those who write books or who share messages on FB. This has NEVER been the case. But Truth bids us to know that when it inspires words to be written, they are only to point to the Truth, the Source, the I AM that is within and that the Truth Itself, wordlessly known within, has no price tag. Of course there is no condemnation from this quarter! How could there be any such condemnation when this Light here has published a book? (See the page here: https://facebook/BookEliandtheFigureEight?ref=hl ) How could there be any condemnation from this quarter of words or thoughts or human language used as a tool, when this LIGHT right here so OFTEN uses words to inspire, hopefully, and to uplift (of COURSE) and to encourage (by ALL means) and most of all, to point to the ONE within that IS the very Truth Itself, written in our own heart...our ONE common heart? Whatever concerns have been expressed by THIS Light regarding any of the above have never been to condemn anyone for anything... For we are all doing the best we can with what is on our own inner table. No, said concerns have been for those who are striving to make sense of this spirituality thing and who are asking, seeking, knocking and perhaps wondering why they get no deep and real answers or get confusing ones. To that end, I have always said, never condemning either writers or readers, that words as such are merely tools. They can only point to the wordless Truth, the LOVE I AM within. I have also reminded folks on occasion that to follow someone as a guru or teacher without consulting ones true self (LOVE) within, is to follow anothers path. When we worshipfully sit at the feet of a human master and give obeisance and kudos to said master/guru and pay for a lavish lifestyle of that guru, we are neglecting not only our own Divine inner teacher, but we are giving our loaves and fishes to an icon rather than helping the least of these my brethren. So, if anyone needs, for now, to buy a book or read inspiring posts in order to be at last inspired enough to go within and listen to the still small voice of the ONE he or she truly is, I say GO for it! There is no condemnation in this. And for that matter, if it helps you to go to church, then do that also. There is no condemnation in this. And there is no condemnation in believing what one believes. But just be aware that our ultimate path to true KNOWING is an inner one, and that we cannot ABSORB inner illumination by rote or through the work of those who we perceive as others in the without. We all will grow out of our mortal beliefs one day and access at last the Truth that sets us free from words and thoughts and allows us to truly live as LIGHT and not as dead men walking. So before you decide I have been judgmental in any of my writings and sharings here--or that Ive been condemning of anyone in any way, think again, and listen/read with a focus on what the voice of the ONE within has to say. For why would I, a writer by talent and by calling, and a follower of the way of LOVE, condemn myself for doing what Ive been called by the ONE LOVE within me to do, by way of being the LIGHT of the WORLD (which we ALL are if we only knew it)? Why would LOVE condemn Itself or anyone for being themselves? Judgment and condemnation---even of the judgers and condemners--are artifacts only of the mortal mentality... the tree of TWO-ness...not of the ONEness. Lets ALL be mindful of not going there, Lights of God, born of the ONE LOVE. All the above said, be aware that I am working on a rewritten second edition of my first book, Eli and the Figure Eight.... and a second nonfiction title (Love Goes Walking) and yet a third book, a novel in the vein of Richard Bachs work (author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull and The Reluctant Messiah). And I would appreciate your loving and, ahem, nonjudgmental support in this. :)
