In the past year, Ive had many listeners of the radio show & FB friends (mostly men) send me private messages with questions about me admitting that Im in therapy. I always tell them that talking to a therapist has changed my life. I talk about it publicly because I am not ashamed of it. Though I come from an outstanding family, have an awesome girlfriend and terrific friends, I needed some direction to help the brokeness of life start healing. By the way, we are all broken at times. SAY THIS TO YOURSELF RIGHT NOW- WE ALL HAVE ISSUES!!!! I now wake up every day wondering, what can I do today to be the best man I can be. How can I make this journey better? That was not always the case. Too many men see counseling as a weakness. Too many men are afraid to admit, I need some help in certain areas of life. Isnt seeking help to be happier and a better man a strength rather than a weakness? If you want/need to talk to someone you can trust who will help you solve issues that are holding you back, call Doug Samsel at (314) 469-5522. Nobody has an S on their chest except for Superman but Doug is dam close. I am not being paid for this and Doug would probably be embarrassed if he read this. Its just that I have had a lot of people contact me recently about getting the process started. Im happy I took that first step. Only you have the power to make you happy! I know, heavy shit for a Saturday morning but writing is very therapeutic for me. Heard over the loud speaker,Selfish, party of one. Mr. McKenna, your table is ready. Lets Go Blues!!
