In the post below, that received a fair bit of attention, we asked the CEO of a Scottish dog rescue charity if she would like to clear up any disinformation currently circulating amongst her charity members. She failed to answer. We again ask her to the page to perhaps attempt to clear up any misunderstanding, and go on public record with her answers. It should not be this hard to get to the truth. Copy/paste of our previous comment... start ************************** As your charity is registered with the OSCR, we believe the matter is of public interest. Due to the disinformation currently sweeping through the minds and mouths of some of your charity members, and based on the comments made by yourself, along with comments made by members of your charitys closed Facebook group, we have some questions we would like to ask you directly about your charity and its involvement with the dog named Bao. This is to aid understanding and transparency for all who seem to think they know a lot but clearly do not. Perhaps you would be so kind as to clear up the contradictions and anomalies currently circulating by answering a few clear and concise questions: 1) What date did the charity become aware of Bao, and from whom? 2) What information was the charity given as to her history and her current rescue status, and by whom? 3) On what date did the charity claim rescue and responsibility for Bao, and what financial aid did the charity give her rescuers? 4) At what point in time did the charity become aware of Bao’s pregnancy? 5) How much did the charity (and/or its contributors) pay for Bao’s daily foster placement with Jennifer Meadus, and how many days was Bao in foster? 6) If a vet certified Bao fit for travel, can the charity show evidence of that? i.e. did the charity ask for a vet report, or did the charity rely on the word of the rescuer? 7) Did the charity sanction Bao’s transportation, evidently (per screenshot provided) knowing how far along Bao was in her pregnancy? 8) How much did the charity pay for Bao’s transportation? 9) Did Bao travel in with a consignment of dogs, or alone? 10) Did Bao travel under the TRACES system, or via the Pet Passport Scheme? 11) Was a contingency plan in place for Bao should she whelp in transit? i.e. had the location of vets been plotted and was Bao fully compliant with the necessary inoculations and documents to facility her secure placement in a licensed boarding kennel should she whelp on route? 12) What is the name of the company that transported Bao, subsequently leaving her at the Bergerac vet on 06 October 2014 without any contact details, and is it an approved carrier? 13) On 07 October 2014, was it made clear to the charity, by the emergency carer, that she would collect Bao and care for her until you could arrange for transportation of Bao to the foster placement the charity had stated it had lined up in Calais, but that she, the emergency carer, could not cover the costs? 14) Did the charity state to the emergency carer that the charity would cover all costs for Bao before the emergency carer agreed to collect Bao from the vet? 15) Was this offer to cover all costs backed up in subsequent emails from the charity asking for costs from the emergency carer? 16) Is it true that the emergency carer provided evidence of said transport cost (to collect Bao from the vet) to the charity on 14 October 2014 in the form of a ‘Mappi’ route calculator, that included the cost of tolls incurred, and have the charity repaid that cost? 17) Did the emergency carer inform the charity of the lengths she was going to in order to save the puppies, until their demise, and the food/care/attention Bao was personally receiving? 18) Did the emergency carer provide photographs to the charity, and/or to the then (would-be) adopters? 19) When asked for copies of Bao’s passport, did the emergency carer provide, courtesy of a friend she had asked to scan said documents, as she did not have a scanner? 20) Knowing that the emergency carer had never taken in an emergency placement before, did the charity advise on common practice and make it clear how much it expected to reimburse the the emergency carer for costs incurred? It’s now mid afternoon here in Oz so I will leave the questions there for now so I can enjoy the rest of my day. I thank you in advance for your clear and full answers to the above 20 question, before I return later with 20 more so that we can all determine where the truth has been muddled with fiction. I am sure you will be very keen to help clear this situation up, 1 to 20. Thank you ************************** end
