In the recent past I have experienced the passing of several people - my father, my brother, a dear friend, my mother-in-law (Alexs grandmother), and just yesterday - my uncle. Ive also witnessed quite a few friends and family members who have had to say painful earthly good byes...... I said it when my brother died and Ill say it again, Death is like a joke that doesnt has a punchline. It leaves families devastated, but it is really just the glorious end of this life of testing and learning. It provides us with the grand opportunity to move on to the next phase which God has promised us is bigger and better--- Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him WOW! This makes me anxious to convince God that I am one of them that love him and move on! But what makes us one of them that love God? I say the answer to that is loving each other. What I learned with these recent experiences with death is that we ALL need to get in as much practice at loving each other as we possibly can in this lifetime. We need to uplift each other, help each other, forgive each other, and accept each other in spite of our unique differences and annoying faults. We need to practice and practice and practice SO THAT we will be prepared to love each other even more when all of us left here are reunited with all of those that have left us. Gods plan is beautiful. This life is really short, but He leaves us here only long enough to learn what we need to learn to prepare us for the next phase of our glorious existence, then He removes us from the suffering that is so inevitable on this earth. I pray that as friends and family, we will all take this life opportunity to practice our loving skills over and above all else that we do until we become perfect at it!
