In the same region there were some shepherds staying out in the fields and keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord suddenly stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them; and they were terribly frightened. But the angel said to them, Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. (Luke 2:8-11 NASB) As we were telling Lukes account of the Christmas story last night, the Spirit drew my attention to the angels message to the shepherds who were watching their flock. As they were faithfully disbursing their responsibility, God sent a fresh miraculous manifestation among them that ushered in good news that will bring great joy that will result into Gloria in excelsis Deo, peace to men who choose to please Him through Jesus Christ! There is going to be a fresh miraculous manufestation this coming year that Jesus Christ will bring into shepherds lives, that may seem scary and intimidating, but will result in Gods glorification and shalom (fulness of well-being) upon those who will support the shepherds continued direction to honor and worship Jesus Christ in the midst of opposition in our generation! Pray for your pastors sensitivity to the Holy Spirits leading this year, so He can channel the miraculous into our churches again!
