In the shadows of todays drama in Sydney, we exposed the sick intentions of a female terrorist, that would gain access to Israel under the false pretense of medical needs. She and he accomplices, planned to carry out a suicide bombing in Tel Aviv. While the Australian story is still unfolding, what is clear is that in both cases the perpetrators of the crimes abused or intended to abuse our way of life, our compassion, our good will. For this we can be proud, but we must be prudent and persistent in combating those that wish to exploit our free way of life for their heinous intentions. Thinking of the families of those that perished in Sydney today but thankful for the likes of the men and women that work to counter terrorism, run in to a room with an armed gunman or capture the bomber on route to our towns. On a personal level I am proud to represent those men and women and sometimes be their public voice. Shalom.
