In the silence of my mind, I often hear the faint wafts of music move in and out of my consciousness... Sometime the music moves forward and takes over my thinking and heart. Sometimes the music is informed by the kind of day I have had. Thunderous music, violent pieces are often heard when I am feeling cross or aggravated. In a randy mood, I can hear the soundtracks of club music, hard techno and rock. And, then, when I am feeling good about my life, enjoying the place I am in the world today, I often hear this... The lilting strains of my favorite composer, the God of all music... To me, this piece, one of Beethovens greatest, and a clear cut contender for the greatest violin concerto EVER written, is all about the emotions that course through us on an average day...
