In the upcoming days imatellmuva will be out and about collecting as usual for Neighbors Without Walls. If you are providing clothes DO NOT put damaged and soiled clothing into your bags. Many of our Neighbors work. Some folk have temporary issues, and need decent clothing to present themselves well for the jobs that they have. Even if this was not the case, be caring enough to provide clothing that would be decent for you to wear. Do not treat our Neighbors like they are less than deserving! Some of our Neighbors develop mental health and addiction issues because of their circumstance...it DID NOT come first! So stop thinking that all of our Neighbors are homeless because of these issues. Many...most had lives JUST like yours and mine. A job loss, a reduction in income, an illness not covered, or not covered ENOUGH by insurance is the beginning of the trickling effect for many. Do treat our Neighbors with dignity and care...be empathetic. Someone slipped some horrific...ready for the trash clothes in my last collection...Im unsure who, but never...EVER do that again! DO NOT give me summer clothes when Im collecting in winter! DO NOT decide that this is the perfect reason to clean your basement! AGAIN...DO NOT give me damaged and soiled clothes! DO NOT claim support if you have done any of the above! Lets get this right...make it right...KEEP IT RIGHT!
