In the wee hours of the morning, unable to sleep, I read what I - TopicsExpress

In the wee hours of the morning, unable to sleep, I read what I expected to be a mildly interesting fluff article entitled, 10 Mind-Blowing Theories....(yada, yada, yada) from Thinking Humanity aka, We Are Humanity on facebook. Well, it would appear that Thinking Humanity is not so very thinking. Forget about the fact that the piece was terribly written - thats just the surface noise. The article, amidst glaring, in-your-face advertising, promoted a nihilistic view of the world. It would be mildly annoying and unsurprising if the article was simply a piece of philosophical pap. But it is far worse. It is promoting the darkest of illusions, which is nihilism - which is not just confused, but radically confused, and corrosive to the readers minds. They would be less harmful if they were promoting the ingestion of cyanide or sleeping gas. It is not too surprising that there is no authors name on the article - who would want to put their name to a piece of total garbage such as this? Either the editors of Thinking Humanity and We Are Humanity are horribly sloppy and inept when it comes to what they allow to be published on their sites and pages, or they are out to lunch, and are themselves steeped in the dark morass of nihilistic delusions. In either case, there is only one response to such garbage: Unlike. Change the channel, and stop ingesting poison.
