In the words of my dear, sweet daughter DAD!? Whatre doing?? Thats GROSS...you IDIOT!!!!! Please read below and flip through the photos in order to see what lead her to such words of endearment. Okay, my daughter goes to college in California. She had an event in Los Angeles this weekend, so her mom and I decided to go support her. We also thought it would be cool to take her to Sunset Blvd. and Hollywood Blvd. Well, as most of you may know, Hollywood Boulevard also has the Hollywood Walk of Fame. We strolled down the street and she didnt know about 94% of the people who had their names in the sideways there. So, I told her about when I did the introduction for Stan Lee, when he received his Walk of Fame star. About ten minutes later I found that star and wanted to get a picture of it since I was hoping to be able to meet Stan later in the weekend. So, this is where the picture sequence comes in... PICTURE 1 - I find Stans star and get a photo. But the sun is too bright and you cant really read his name. There has to be a better way. PICTURE 2 - Thats it! All I need to do is take the photo straight down so the sun doesnt mess it up. PICTURE 3 - All I need to do is lay on the ground and get my daughter to take the picture. She does. But she reminds me of how many people walk up and down this street each day. PICTURE 4 - The homeless dude that was napping a few feet away gets up and moves. I guess I was cramping his style. PICTURE 5 - Awwwwwww! I have the whole area to myself since everyone else crossed the street because they didnt want to get close to the guy laying on the ground in the middle of the sidewalk. This is when my daughter decided to give me her words of wisdom (please read my headline at the top of this post!!!!) PICTURE 6 - Later I show the photo to Stan himself over lunch (I had missed Stans 92nd birthday while I was out of the country and wanted to give him a photo to make up for not being able to call him) and is comment was I knew you always wanted to be next to me....but my star-dom will always be above you. I dont think my daughter gets how a big shot comic person like me rolls. I guess genius must skip a generation. TODD
