In the world we live today, we face different and diverse forms of Crisis, but the Bible has already told us in Isa 43:2 “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”, it further stated in 1 Cor 3:13 that every man’s work shall be made manifest through fire, and in 1 Pet 1:7 it said the trail of our faith is through fire. So it’s not about whether we would pass through fire because we will but rather we should be looking at the resultant effect of that process. Is it not ironic when the bible says in Joh 15:1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. Joh 15:2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. The scripture said if we do not bear fruit it takes away, but if we bear fruit He purgeth, that it may bring forth more fruit. Do you know that if a tree is not bearing fruit and you dig a trench around it, it goes into crisis mode and recovers and before long it starts bearing fruits, and that is what the Bible is saying. As Christians when we are doing well in our comfort zone, God introduces crisis in our life that takes us off the comfort zone, but He is not taking us out to leave us in the cold, He is taking us out to make us solely depend on Him and that is where the greatest fruit bearing comes from. Rom_9:16 says “So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.” even in 1Co_3:7 the Bible said So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase. So the crisis of life is meant to move us from one level to another. It is at the point of crisis you build resilience, for the bible said in Jas 1:3 “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.” It further told us to learn from that trail in Jas 1:4 “But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” The most amazing thing of all this is that the Bible tells us to count it as joy (Jas 1:2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;) So what am I saying today, the temptations, tribulations, crisis etc that comes your way is not meant to consume you even though that is the plan of the enemy but God has put them there to build you up, Eph_3:20 says Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,”. It is that power that worketh in you that makes it possible and if you do not or cannot prove that power, of what use is your faith. God wants us to trust Him and depend on Him for everything as He is our Father. Psa_33:4 said For the word of the LORD is right; and all his works are done in truth. All He is asking for is for us to: Pro 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.Pro 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Pro 3:7 Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil. Pro 3:8 It shall be health to thy navel, and marrow to thy bones. Remain blessed.
