In their best interest... A friend visited me in the office yesterday and told me that the reason he paid me the unscheduled visit was to discuss my advocacy for his Owerri zone to desist from pursuing PDP governorship ticket. He said that he almost unfriended me in real life for even imagining that idea until he read my Facebook piece on that in full after which he realised that they had been sold the most expensive lie. He said my writeup opened his eyes to the truth that a PDP ticket to an Owerri zone aspirant would just put the governorship far beyond the grasp of the zone into the waiting palm of their worst enemy. That encouraged me to re-enact my statement of factual truth that Owerri zone should ensure that they dont get the PDP ticket, IF THEY WANT TO STAND CHANCE OF GETTING THE GOVERNORSHIP SEAT anytime soon. Okigwe zone should be assisted to get the ticket. In accordance with my and general expectations, Apga has zoned their governorship ticket to Owerri zone, precluding Orlu and okigwe zones from Apga ticket. And Apga couldnt be in a better form since the intended decimation of the party by governor Okorocha. In fact, PDP is not a real threat to Rochas (if free and fair election is conducted); Apga is the threat! Any Owerri zone aspirant who insists on taking the PDP ticket is not after the corporate and collective interest of the zone but rather after personal ambition, unfortunately so. Such an aspirant would be playing a spoilers game against the mother of Owerri zones rarest chances. Those from Owerri zone who have left their current jobs and practically relocated to IMO state and investing billions in desperate pursuit of PDP ticket should take heed. Secondly, okigwe zone will have reason to think favourably towards Owerri zone if Owerri zone demonstrates a sense of equity and friendship towards okigwe zone. But if Owerri zone denies okigwe zone a fighting chance using PDP ticket, okigwe zone will have more reason to be drawn more to the Rochas (Orlu zone) alternative and offer. Rochas Okorocha can actually offer Okigwe zone deputy governorship in preparation for handing over to the zone come 2019. That will be an extremely dangerous scenario; okigwe zone could well take Rochas 2015 as their surest and shortest distance back to doughlas house. If that plays out, Owerri zone would only hope to stand a good chance again in another 12 years (if someone other than ohakim emerges) or 8 years (if Ohakim were to emerge). The stakes are indeed high and margin for error is in thousandth decimal.
