In their first loss since Oct. 4, the Steinbach Pistons six-game winning streak came to an end Thursday night in Portage as they fell 4-1 to the Terriers. Steinbach remains the top team in the MJHL with an 11-2 record. Portage, now just two points back of the Pistons, although with one more game played, improved to 9-3-2. Colin Baudry, with his team-leading ninth goal of the season, scored Steinbachs lone goal in the first.Tied 1-1 after the first, the Terriers took a 3-1 lead into the third. Former Piston Taylor Friesen scored the fourth goal for the Terriers late in the third. Steinbach outshot Portage 27-23. Nicholas Deery took the loss in net for the Pistons. Steinbach returns home to host the Winkler Flyers Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at the T.G. Smith Centre.
