In theory the idea of plugging in your guitar into your Xbox 360 or PS3 sounds like a pretty great idea. Until you actually play Rocksmith. Maybe with the newest version theyve improved Rocksmith. My problem with it is similar to how I felt when I played DDR or other music based video games. The slow songs were difficult to play through. I know this seems counter intuitive. Also, Rocksmith claims to adapt to your skill set. It doesnt seem very responsive to your skills. So you will find yourself playing at a beginners level for quite some time. I will give Rocksmith this, it does have a great selection of songs including David Bowie, Radiohead, the Black Keys, Soundgarden, etc. I also appreciate a game that goes beyond just requiring you to press 5 colored buttons. Well Rocksmith youre so close but no tomato.
