In this article Rodney Hide says "...we have long concluded that state schools are best to teach our children to read and to write and to think critically. The religious instruction is better left to parents, church groups, temples and mosques and to those who choose a religious school for their children." Well said Rodney - we agree 100%. But I ask you this, if you believe this what justification is there for introducing Charter Schools that will be indoctrinating children with specific religious beliefs, and perhaps in some cases teaching creationism myths rather than hard science? When not even a former leader of Act believes in the party policy one must ask exactly whose agenda was behind the new Religious Schools craze promoted to Parliament by Act?
