In this current time we live in, a time of much turmoil, strife and tribulation around the world, where so many suffer through dire poverty, hunger, sickness, persecution even bloodshed and death, let us not be disheartened nor lose hope, sisters and brothers, remembering the one supreme symbol that unites us and what it should mean to all of us, both individually as well as a family (despite what may separate us) in the words of St Paul to the Corinthians: For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. Glory to Jesus Christ!
