In this era, it is good to be on guard against ignorance. The myriad ways it arrives and flourishes causes much harm in the lives of humanity. One form of ignorance does not exclude another and forms of ignorance often combine in a manner that is challenging to contend with. Choice and action are an ongoing process centered around what we engage, tolerate and avoid. It is wise to recognize the temporary and lasting aspects of choices--large and small. Its also wise to recognize that malign and malevolent forces can be subtle and even casual in their disregard for the wellness of others. Remain open, easy, kind, compassionate, sensitive and accommodating, but on guard as you go about your day. The simple, noble and enlightened do not always seem interesting or valuable to the fickle nature of a whim-based material culture.
