In this passage God gives us a picture of who he is. back in Genesis or Exodous he allowed Moses high in the cleft of a rock to see him as he pass by because If any man would look on his face they would die and in Isaiah Isaiah describes as he saw God how his train filled the whole Temple and how the Angels had two wings that covered their face because even the angels needed covering in the presence of God so today we need to get a real picture of who he is because hes not that portrait of the blonde hair blue eyed Jesus that you see in homes and in churches he is an awesome being holy and set apart more than we can even imagine and nothing else on this earth even matters except for that day when you kneel before him and he says well done my good and faithful servant so we need to live our lives as if tomorrow is not promised and truly be vigilant be obedient be diligent in the things of God dont treat God as if your relationship with him is old hat if you stood before him today and saw the thundering and lightning as described in Revelation you would fear him and fear is the beginning of wisdom and it would be wise for you to begin doing his word dont waste your life
