In todays Google Hangount on India: The India Innovation - TopicsExpress

In todays Google Hangount on India: The India Innovation Superpower the conversation happened among Anand Mahindra, Chanda Kocher, Arun Maira, Rajan Anandan, Arnab Goswami along with the people around the country. There were so many things to learn but some of the things that were really great to know that we need to develop the culture of asking question. The fear shouldnt take place while asking the questions. However, its again a big question if corporate houses mature enough to support innovation? Most of the corporate houses now are so much politicize and godfather mindset which kills innovation rather than encourage just to satisfy insecurities and limitation of few selects. Innovation comes out when there is no fear of failure but in our Indian society there is no tolerance for failure....you have to succeed at any cost. This mindset makes us to FOLLOW rather than LEADING. This is something needs to be changed. The other thing that is stopping India from having a research oriented and innovative environment in the education system. I believe this would become platform for creative minds. Where is Indian Education system lacking compared to other better countries? Also, the mindset of the big companies who prefer to hire people from tier 1 institutions like IIT/IIM and people from tier 2 institutions are hired for the ongoing projects. An innovative mind isnt necessarily found in Top colleges graduates only. The employees at grass root level are unable to innovate from customer ideas because the management is not allowing him to. As the management is more focused towards its profitability rather than the innovations.
