In todays Trinidad Guardian No bail for sisters charged with attempted murder: Two Marabella sisters charged with attempted murder were yesterday refused bail because the victim is hospitalised in a serious condition. Kay Greene, 27, the mother of five, and Nandy Williams, 29, the mother of two, broke down in tears as they were escorted from the San Fernando Magistrates Court to await transportation to the Women’s Prison. The sisters of Bayshore, Marabella, along with their brother Akeem Williams, are accused of chopping Andy Bramble, 31, on January 21 during an altercation near their home. Bramble was reportedly chopped on the head. The third accused Akeem Williams is at large. A warrant has been issued for his arrest. Court prosecutor Cleyon Seedan objected to bail because Bramble is in a serious condition on Ward 3 of the San Fernando General Hospital. However, defence attorney Shaun Teekasingh questioned why a medical certificate listing the victim’s injuries and condition was not produced in court. He said Greene had five children, ages 12, 10, 8, 4 and 1, and she had no previous convictions or pending matters. Nandy Williams is an Unemployment Relief Programme worker and has two children, ages one and three. He said she had one pending matter for malicious wounding.
