In todays edition, Mr. Elvis Muraranganda, of the Namibian Sun wrote: Registrar loses power to order house seizures, as government puts in gear a pro-poor judicial system. Mr Muraranganda, did you not read Article 78 of the Constitution of Namibia which vests judicial power in a) Supreme Court; b) High Court & c) lower courts? No where does the Constitution say the registrar of the high court has any form of judicial power, & to grant a default judgment, like any other judgment is an exercise of judicial power. The Constitution is the Supreme Law of the land with effect from 21/3/1990, & its provisions take precedence over all laws, rules, cultures, traditions & dogmas. The Constitution is Pro-Poor, Sir. As journalist kindly research who manned the institutions tasked with the protection & enforcement of the Constitution & ask them why the Registrar of the High Court in violation of our Constitution robbed thousands of families of their homes since 21/3/2013? Just like You cannot be removed from the High Court bench( because u r not a judge) You cannot take away power from the registrar which it never had! Do research & Get behind the true reasons why this rape of our supreme law continues unabated!
