In todays news, Facebook announced its acquisition of the nation of Ukraine, a first of its kind. By offering $25 Billion in cash and stock, they have outbid the IMF $18 Billion bailout package and $15 Billion Russian hostile takeover bid by a large margin. In a Bloomberg interview, Mark Zuckerberg stated that they would have bought the cities of Harkiv and Lviv, where most of Ukraines IT industry resides, but were unable to negotiate a spin-off, instead opting to buy the whole country. Its not that much more then WhatsApp, and -- look -- we get a whole country! This is freakin awesome! - said uncharacteristically excited Zuckerberg, whose family heritage hails from western Ukraine. Ukraine will operate as an independent entity for as long as possible, however the contracts it has signed with Microsoft and Google will be ending in the near future. Contracts with GazProm for natural gas supply will be at risk as well, as the nation shifts its energy supply to 80% solar energy delivered via drone aircraft
