In #trans #documentation, DC does gender markers right, ending surgery requirements and allowing DC courts to issue orders requesting vital records departments in other states to update gender markers on birth certificates issue there in those other states! I also noticed something I wish I saw more often: giving credit to those who did the work instead of using news like this to try to imply the group announcing the news did the work, then asking for a donation. Kudos to NCTE for clearly recognizing the persons and organizations that made this happen.
