In two more days we will be entering the holiday season. Many of us will be rejoicing our good fortunes. Let us not forget what brought us all together. On June 2, a travesty occurred and a life was senselessly snuffed out at the hands of a mindless individual with no conscious. Would it be too much to ask for an act of contrition? An apology? Would it make a difference if it was offered? This is the season of reflection and let us hold Asem and Wafaa close to our hearts, as I am sure this will be a hard time for them. REMEMBER, that the sentencing hearing is November 12th. Let us all stand next to Asem and Wafaa in thought that day and hope that the judge has taken the time to look at our page and see that Ozzi was not just a bird. That this perpetrator changed peoples lives forever, including ours. We can only hope that the sentencing will be as harsh as the crime committed.
