In vino veritas. A little miracle! I discovered an overlooked bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, a good one, too. It is cold, and opened now. Life is good. Tonight. I had shoved it in the back of the bottom shelf of my fridge. I think I bought it in August. Two halves of acorn squash are roasting at 350F in the oven. I am thawing a tub of ground round and one of natural (whatever than means?) sausage. I have fresh baby spinach, pepperoni, a little red onion, some parsley and a few other ingredients ready to add to the meats before the mess goes into the partially-baked squash. Back in the oven with cheese on top. Then I will make some meatloaf, too with the leftover mess. Two days worth of food. It has been snowing since before dark. About a half inch so far. Trash is at the curb. That task was slippery in my mocs. Trash night is always a hoot because the cats are eager to assist me. They are interested in the two white plastic bags that are the last to go out. They also enjoy watching me rip cardboard and cat food boxes into shreds so they dont take up so much room in the bags. Is meatloaf one word or two?
