In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words. -Colossians 2:3-4 Let no man deceive himself. If any man among you seemeth to be wise in this world, let him become a fool, that he may be wise. For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness. And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. -1 Corinthians 3:18-20 Have you ever bought a novel? How long did it take you to read that novel? On average, a person will finish a 400 page novel in one or two nights. Have you ever bought a Bible? Have you bought more than one Bible? How much do you read it? Im not talking about a verse a day reading. Im talking about reading the Bible just like its laid out. There are 66 books in the Bible. Each book contains vital knowledge. Im afraid that a large majority of people today can be deceived with the thoughts of men because they dont really know what the Bible says. This boils down to What I believe VS. What God said. Many are taking the Bible and verse picking it, to conform to their traditional beliefs. It is very concerning to me of the ignorance of the Word of God. When you listen to what a man says that he believes what the Bible says, you will be left confused and, most likely, deceived. However, when you start reading the Bible for yourself, and leave everything right where its at, then you will find that the words in this Book are alive and will change the heart of any man/woman. I just want to encourage Bible study, not verse picking. Too much verse picking will leave you confused and ignorant of the truth. Get in the Book! Dont mix the messages up! Leave everything in its rightful place. I love you all.
