In yesterdays budget, George Osborne announced an institute named after Alan Turing, who did more than anyone else at Bletchley Park to defeat the Nazis and the possibility of world fascism forever (cracking their Enigma code during the Second World War) on big data and algorithm research - this institute could lead to world fascism now via a mass surveillance state (with technology largely taking the place of human spies). Its not all doom and gloom of course - there were many revelations last year, by US whistleblower Edward Snowden (about PRISM in the USA, and similar surveillance at GCHQ) and on infiltration of the left and friends/family of Stephen Lawrence (for which Tory home secretary Theresa May has been forced to hold a public inquiry). Furthermore, there appears to be a secretive Foundation, of dialectical mathematician Karl Seldon, based on Isaac Asimovs Foundation series, that is doing similar things on behalf of the masses to help bring about socialism! Theres a link to its website in my blog post below. thatcheroftheleft.wordpress/2014/03/19/budget2014-alan-turing-institute-for-big-data-algorithm-research-towards-fascism-forever-turing-stopped-in-ww2/
