Tag up to 10 friends including me so I can see your list. 1. Daulaires Greek Myths - The illustrations and retelling of these wonderful myths are still enchanting. 2. The Illustrated Man, Ray Bradbury - Amazing stories and writer, one of the best. 3. The Naked Man, Claude Levi-Strauss - the collection of Native American folklore and customs really resonated with me, in both my art and the way I view the world. 4. Agatha Christie - Anything with Poirot, but Murder in Mesopotamia is a personal favorite. 5. Interpretation of Dreams, Sigmund Freud - Whether you accept his interpretations or not, this book will open your mind about your mind. 6. Little Women, Louisa May Alcott - I didnt always agree with Jo and her choices, but this was my first series - I had to read on and see what happened to everyone. 7. The Sneetches, Dr. Seuss - still one of the best books out there. 8. Welcome to the Monkey House, Kurt Vonnegut - my aunt and uncle gave this to me when I was a tween, probably before I was ready for it, but I loved it. 9. Leonard Maltins Movie Guide (some mid-90s edition) - helped me justify my love of watching (and critiquing) movies 10. The World Almanac (probably 1980) - Apart from the usual world statistics it also had all sorts of cool (and strange) facts, like details about Jack the Rippers crimes, and all of the Roman Emperors. Honorable mention: Dracula, by Bram Stoker - I still think this is the best epistolary novel of all time. The Secret Garden, by Frances Hodgson Burnett - I loved the way Mary could create a secret, special, beautiful, world - what all artists try to do. The Untethered Soul, by Michael Singer - a recent read, but it really resonated with me, and I am trying to use it as a bit of a spiritual guidebook.
