Inaugural Werks Reunion Concours d’Elegance A Porsche Gathering Friday August 15, 2014 Concours d Elegance is a French term denoting a gathering together of automobiles in competition for judging of their respective merits in terms of coachwork design, finish and appointments. Therefore, to select the best prepared and maintained Porsche. Our goal for this event is provide both entrants and spectators a spectacular representation of the Porsche marque’s success in motorsports, design and engineering. Emphasis on presentation is more important than finding dust, lint or correct date coded parts. Originality will not be judged. Classes are as follows: Class Description Zell Am See 356 Closed Kabriolett 356 Open Butzi Gruppe 911/912 (1965-1968) Stuttgart 911/912 (1969-1973) Württemberg 911/912 (1974-1989) Metzger 964/993 (1990-1998) Wasserkühlung 996/997 (1999-2012) Zuffenhausen 991 (2011-present) Mitte des Motors 914 & 914/6 Gran Touring 924/944/928/968 Lagaay Gruppe Boxster/Cayman Leipzig Cayenne/Panamera/Macan Piech Group Limited Production/Factory Race Sonderwünsche Special Interest/ Modified Sports Gruppe Outlaws/Rgruppe/Tribute GENERAL Advanced preparation for the event should be made by the entrant prior to arriving at Werks Reunion. Final preparations can be made once you are positioned on the Concours field, but only prior to the start of judging. Once judging begins, only light dusting will be permitted. All cleaning materials, boxes, etc., must be placed out of sight before judging begins. FOR SALE signs are prohibited. Please turn vehicle alarm systems off prior to entering the concours site and remain off throughout the event. No commercial displays will be allowed with concours entries. Fire extinguishers are recommended but not required to be present with the car. The event chairman has the discretion to adjust, add or combine classes depending on the final total of car entries. Definitions Limited Production/Factory Race: A limited production automobile is one built by the Porsche factory, on a production chassis, in very small quantities. Examples would be GT-bodied 356, 911RSR, 934,935,959, etc. Factory race is for anything the factory built or has/had a hand in that is non-Porsche production automobile with a Porsche engine. Examples would include the Elva, Glockler, Abarth Carrera, 908, 936, GT1, etc. Special Interest/Modified: For automobiles that are based on a production chassis and heavily modified such as chopped top or altered chassis for wheel base or engine purposes. Examples would be 914 in full PCA or SCCA race trim, 911 Trans Am, Ruf manufactured Boxster. Sports Purpose/Outlaws/Rgruppe/Tribute: This class is for Porsche Hot Rods of all models. Cars in this class would be street driven cars with modified engines, suspension and body parts. JUDGING Judging shall be based on the overall presentation of the vehicle. The four areas of judging will be Exterior, Interior, Storage, & Engine. All judging will be done above the chassis, no wheel wells or undercarriage will be judged. Outer surfaces of tires, wheels and hubcaps will be judged. Tool kits, jacks, spare tires and manuals will not be judged. Boxster, Cayman, and 991 engines will not be judged and therefore engine covers will not be required to be removed. Entrants in the 356 Open class will not have the top or side windows judged. Therefore you have the option of showing your car with either the top up or down. Judging time will not exceed five (5) minutes per entry. The entrant or his representative must be available during the time of judging. In the event of a tie, the entries involved will be re-judged by checking a specific item as determined by the Event Chairman. Winners will be announced at the Awards Ceremony.
